1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

  • Dos Marineros d.o.o.
  • Registered address: Pazdigradska 72, 21000 Split, Croatia
  • OIB: 21317647053
  • Registration number (MB): 05831873
  • Court register: Commercial Court in Split, MBS 060470398
  • Share capital: EUR 2,500.00, paid in full
  • Director: Mislav Križanović
  • IBAN: HR5523900011101448334 (Hrvatska poštanska banka d.d.)
  • Email: info@nuir.hr
  • Phone: +385 95 571 3970

For anything about your personal data, email info@nuir.hr.

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry, through the form, by email, by phone or on WhatsApp:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your phone number, if you give it
  • the service you are interested in and the language of the page you wrote from
  • what you write — the vessel, where it is and what needs doing
  • photos of the vessel you send us

When you agree a job with us, also what we need to do the work and invoice it: details of the vessel and its berth and, for the invoice, your address and tax number or company details.

When you simply visit the website, our technical providers process:

  • your IP address
  • browser and device type
  • which pages you opened, and when
  • standard server and security logs

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

We use your data to:

  • reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
  • carry out the agreed work and arrange dates
  • issue invoices and keep the records the law requires
  • deal with complaints and guarantee claims
  • keep the website working, secure and free of abuse

The legal bases under Article 6 GDPR are: performance of a contract (or steps before it) for enquiries, quotes and work; legal obligation for invoices, accounting and consumer-protection records; and legitimate interests for website security, abuse prevention, aggregate visitor statistics and defending legal claims. Where consent is required, we ask for it.

4. The enquiry form — Resend

When you submit the form on this website, the message is delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service. Resend processes your name, email, phone and message in order to deliver it. Resend is based in the United States; the transfer is safeguarded as described in section 8.

5. Hosting and visitor statistics — Vercel

This website is served by Vercel, which processes the technical data in section 2 to deliver and protect the site.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and does not recognise you on other websites: a visit is counted with a temporary identifier that is discarded every day. We see only aggregate figures — how many visits, which pages are read, what kind of device — never an individual.

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or any other advertising or profiling tracker.

6. Map

Our About page shows a Google Maps map of the workshop. When that part of the page loads, your browser contacts Google, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

7. Cookies

We set one cookie of our own, needed for the site to work:

  • NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the language you chose (Croatian or English), so the site opens in it next time. It lasts one year and holds nothing else.

We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The Google Maps map in section 6 may set its own. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

8. Who else sees your data

We never sell your personal data or share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only with those we need to run the business:

  • Resend — delivering messages from the form
  • Vercel — hosting and visitor statistics
  • Google — the map, as described above
  • our accountant, for the records the law requires
  • public authorities, where we are legally required to provide information

Some of these providers are outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Such transfers are covered by an adequacy decision (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by Standard Contractual Clauses, as the GDPR requires.

9. WhatsApp and phone

If you message us on WhatsApp, the conversation also goes through Meta's service and is subject to its privacy policy. We keep the conversation while it is relevant to your enquiry or job. If you would rather not use it, email or phone us instead.

10. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a job are kept only as long as they are useful for replying and following up, then deleted. Quotes, invoices and related records are kept for as long as Croatian tax and accounting law requires. Complaints and guarantee claims are kept for the period required by consumer-protection law, and anything relevant to a legal claim until it is resolved.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • correct anything that is wrong
  • delete your data
  • restrict or object to how we use it
  • send your data to you in a portable format
  • withdraw consent, where we relied on consent

Email info@nuir.hr and we will respond within one month. We may need to check who you are first.

12. Complaining to the regulator

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first — we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Croatian data-protection authority, AZOP (Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka): azop.hr, azop@azop.hr.

13. Security

The website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we protect your data with reasonable technical and organisational measures. No system on the internet is completely secure, so we keep only what we need.

14. Children

This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.

15. Changes to this policy

If we change the services or providers we use, we will update this page and the date at the top.
