The service

The look of teak, with far less upkeep.

Synthetic teak gives a deck the warmth and lines of laid teak with far less maintenance. It does not go grey, needs no oiling or sanding, and stains wash off with soap and water.

We work with EVO Decking synthetic teak, which in our experience has the best look and the most realistic surface. We template your deck, make up the panels with seams and margin boards in our workshop, and bond them to a prepared substrate on the boat, at its berth or on a dry berth.

What's included

  • Templates and layout drawn to your deck
  • EVO Decking panels made up in our workshop
  • Bonded on board, afloat or on a dry berth
  • Minimal upkeep, no oiling or sanding

When to call us

Is this what your boat needs?

Wood shows wear long before it fails. These are the signs we look for on an inspection: tick the ones you recognise and they go into your message, so we know where to start.

What to send us

  1. The whole area, from a few steps back
  2. Close-ups of the worst spots
  3. The boat's model and where it's berthed

Photos are enough for a first opinion, before anyone comes to the boat.

The process

How the job goes, step by step.

The same people measure, build and fit. That's how we know every slat and every seam.

  1. Choose the look

Panel colour, seam colour and slat width are chosen from samples to suit the boat.

  2. Templates

We template each area and draw the layout, with borders and margin boards.

  3. Make the panels

Panels are made up to the templates in the workshop, with seams and edges finished.

  4. Bond and finish

The substrate is prepared, the panels are bonded down and the edges sealed and detailed.

FAQ

What owners ask us most

Straight answers to what owners ask us most. If yours isn't here, ask us directly.

Does synthetic teak get hot in the sun?

In strong summer sun it can be warmer underfoot than natural teak, and darker colours more so than lighter ones. We will show you samples so you can choose with that in mind.

How do I look after it?

Wash it with fresh water and a mild soap. There is no oiling or sanding.

Can it go over my existing deck?

It is bonded to a clean, sound and level substrate, so old teak is normally removed first. We check the surface at the inspection and tell you what preparation it needs.

Does the boat have to come to your workshop?

No. The panels are made to your templates in our workshop in Split and fitted on your boat, at its berth or on a dry berth. You are welcome to drop by the workshop to see samples.

How much does synthetic teak decking cost?

It depends on the deck area, its shape and the preparation the substrate needs. We template the deck and give you a written quote with the full price before any work begins.

Which EVO Decking colours are available?

Eight deck tones: six teak shades plus Charcoal and Titanium, with black, white or silver caulking. Charcoal isn't made with black caulking, nor Titanium with silver, as the colours are too close. We bring real samples to the inspection.

Is synthetic teak slippery when wet?

No. EVO Decking is made for sure footing on deck, even when it is wet with spray or rain.

Why choose a certified EVO Decking installer?

A synthetic deck is only as good as its templating, panel make-up and bonding. As certified installers we template, make up and fit every deck ourselves, with no subcontractors.
