More about us

Neprestanonever stopučilearningiandrastigrowing

Our name is a rule we work by. We are a small marine carpentry workshop in Split, working on vessels across Dalmatia, from classic sailboats to modern catamarans.

We run every project ourselves, with no subcontractors: the same people who measure your deck build it, fit it and hand it over. That's how we know every slat, every seam and every coat of varnish.

Why Nuir

We don't leave until the job is right.

Good woodwork is only half of it. The other half is knowing what you'll pay, who will be on your boat, and that we stand behind the result.

  • We fix what isn't right

If anything isn't right after handover, we come back to your boat and put it right, at our cost.

  • A written quote, no surprises

Price, materials and timeline in writing. You know the full price before any work begins.

  • Our own team, always

No subcontractors. The same two carpenters measure your deck, build it, fit it and hand it over.

  • We come to your berth

Afloat or on a dry berth, anywhere from Zadar to Dubrovnik. No boat transport to arrange.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before the first call.

Straight answers about our marine carpentry in Split and Dalmatia: what we do, where we work, how quotes work and who will be on your boat.

What does Nuir do?

Nuir is a marine carpentry and teak decking workshop in Split, Croatia. We install EVO Decking synthetic teak, restore teak decks, replace slats and re-caulk seams, lay new natural teak decks, build custom passerelles, and make exterior woodwork, handrails and wooden accessories, sanded and varnished to last.

Where in Croatia do you work?

Along the Dalmatian coast from Zadar to Dubrovnik: Sukošan, Biograd, Murter, Šibenik, Primošten, Rogoznica, Trogir, Kaštela, Split, Brač, Hvar, Makarska, Korčula and beyond. Kvarner and Istria by arrangement. We come to your boat, afloat at its berth or ashore on a dry berth.

How much does teak deck work cost?

Every job is priced individually: it depends on the size of the deck, its condition and the material, so we don't publish a price list that would only be a guess. After we meet and look at the boat you get a written quote with the price, materials and an estimated timeline, and you know the full price before any work begins.

How do I get a quote?

Contact us on WhatsApp or fill in the contact form. We then inspect and measure the boat, and you get a written quote with the price, materials and an estimated timeline before any work begins.

Who actually works on my boat?

Our own team, always. No subcontractors: the same two marine carpenters measure your deck, build it, fit it and hand it over.

Do you install synthetic teak?

Yes. We are certified EVO Decking installers. Every synthetic teak deck is templated by us, made up in our workshop in Split and fitted on board.

Which boats do you work on?

Sailboats, catamarans and yachts, from classic sailboats to modern catamarans. Whatever the boat, every deck and every piece of joinery is made to fit that particular vessel.

Do you work for charter companies and marinas?

Yes. Alongside private owners, we work for charter fleets and marinas. Tell us how many boats there are and when they need to be ready, and we'll plan the work around it.

I live abroad. Can you work on my boat while I'm away?

Yes. We work for foreign owners as well as local ones, in English or Croatian. A message on WhatsApp is enough to start; we inspect the boat at its berth and send you a written quote, so you don't need to be in Croatia.

What if something isn't right after handover?

We come back to your boat and put it right, at our cost. We stand behind every job we hand over.
