The service

A passerelle made for your stern.

A passerelle is used every day the boat is in port, so it has to fit: the right length for your stern and berth, the right width, and a mounting that matches what is already on board.

We build wooden passerelles to measure for sailboats and catamarans, for stainless-steel bases or standard fittings. Each one is made in our workshop, sanded smooth and sealed against sun and salt.

What's included

  • Measured to your stern and mounting point
  • For sailboats and catamarans

When to call us

Is this what your boat needs?

Wood shows wear long before it fails. These are the signs we look for on an inspection: tick the ones you recognise and they go into your message, so we know where to start.

What to send us

  1. The whole area, from a few steps back
  2. Close-ups of the worst spots
  3. The boat's model and where it's berthed

Photos are enough for a first opinion, before anyone comes to the boat.

The process

How the job goes, step by step.

The same people measure, build and fit. That's how we know every slat and every seam.

  1. Measure

We measure the stern, the mounting point and how the passerelle will be stowed.

  2. Agree the design

Length, width, wood and fittings are agreed, and you get a written quote.

  3. Build

The passerelle is made in the workshop, sanded and sealed against sun and salt.

  4. Fit

We check it on the boat, with its base or fittings, and hand it over.

FAQ

What owners ask us most

Straight answers to what owners ask us most. If yours isn't here, ask us directly.

Which boats do you build passerelles for?

Sailboats and catamarans. Tell us the model and where the passerelle mounts, and we will take it from there.

Will it work with my existing base?

Yes. We build for stainless-steel bases as well as standard fittings, and we measure yours before we start.

Does the boat need to be in Split?

The passerelle is built in our workshop, so the boat can stay where it is. We need accurate measurements of the stern and mounting, which we take ourselves where possible.

How much does a custom passerelle cost?

It depends on the length, the wood and how it mounts on your stern. Send us the boat model and a photo of the mounting point, and we'll come back with a written quote.

Which wood are your passerelles made from?

Iroko, mahogany or oak, chosen with you. Every passerelle is sanded smooth and sealed against sun and salt.

How do you measure for a passerelle?

We need the stern, the mounting point and how the boat sits at its berth. Where possible we take the measurements ourselves, so the length and width are right first time.

Can you refinish my old passerelle?

Often, yes. If the wood is sound, a sanding and a new finish bring it back. If it is cracked through or soft around the fixings, a new one is the safer choice, and we'll tell you which.
